Escape room success! Next step, Bible Study!
Eleven people met up to compete in 2 escape rooms, with one group finishing just moments before the other, with 3 minutes to spare on the clock. The “Illusionist” room solved their final puzzle in time to leave the room and see the “70s Room” challengers complete their own. Both teams beat the 1-hour time limit, and talks of a rematch are already underway.
Afterwards all 11 attendees went across the street for some hard-earned El Charro and prayer.
While this Escape room merely began this semester, more social events are being put together in the future. Options like a trip to the shooting range, or possibly a trampoline park are already on the table. In the mean time, between events, the plan is to begin regular Bible studies held online beginning September 2nd at 7pm. Currently the plan is to do them bi-weekly, but if there is enough interest we can definitely start doing it weekly.
The first topic will be on Genesis 1-3, and creation. The goal is to start going through some familiar “Bible Stories” that we learned as kids, but have a bunch of details we can now appreciate as adults. If there is an interest, I could do a presentation on Apologetics, tips and tricks for conversations to not get overwhelmed and communicate the truth effectively.
Lots of opportunities ahead, please reach out if you’d like to be a part, or would like a link to the Bible Study so you can join from home. Stay in contact for future events as well.
God’s blessings!
